I am a veteran of marketing and advertising with national and regional experience. I have had the privilege of working with some really great organizations.
I have been a part of many successes and I have been a part of a few blunders. I've learned some valuable things along the way.
My experience has encompassed retail, food service, healthcare, telecommunications, IT, manufacturing, dot-coms, furniture, and consumer home products with such companies as Bell Atlantic, International Paper, Medical Resources, American Woodmark Cabinet Co., Alcatel Data Networks, Hardee’s Food Systems, Amway and Smithfield Foods. My work with these organizations has included strategic planning, research development and facilitation, award winning creative direction, public relations, promotions and events, media planning, and production management.
I have received regional and national awards and recognition for creative excellence along with national media attention for promotions such as Desperately Seeking Sushi and for work with the former Soviet news agency, TASS and their TASS Top 20 weekly radio program.
Community volunteering is important to me. I was a founding board member of the Shenendoah Valley Discovery Museum (Winchester, VA), served on the board of the Granville Area Chamber of Commerce, have provided marketing services to Project Main Street, Sparta Restaurant & Coffee Shop, Bryn Du Mansion, Village of Granville, Granville Athletic Boosters, Granville Schools, and served as president of the Granville Lacrosse Club for seven years.
I hold a B.A. degree in Speech Communications / Mass Media from Denison University in Granville, Ohio with post-graduate design studies at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. I paint. And, I play harmonica with a bunch of middle-aged blues/rock n roll wanna bes, but not often enough.
